GIBC Trip to Israel

Posted: September 29, 2023

You are invited to join pastors Brian Arnold, Bob Whitney, and Mike Kotecki, along with Dr. Bryan Ferrell, pastor of Timberlake Baptist Church (TES campus church in Lynchburg), and professional tour guide Boaz Shalgi, on a tour of the biblical sites in Israel, May 22–June 1, 2024. We will retrace the steps of Jesus in the land of the Bible and open the Scripture together in the places where it actually happened. Prior to our evening service, Sunday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m., there will be an informational meeting in the TES classroom. To request information about the trip, please email Bob Whitney at bwhitney@expositors.org.

Institute of Grace

Posted: September 28, 2023

The IOG class series is available to anyone in the church. Jesus came—and will come again—to fulfill the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings (Matt 5:17; Luke 24:44). How well, then, can we know Him or His task if we do not know the contents of what He came to fulfill? The better we understand “whatever was written in earlier times” (Rom 15:4), the more intimately we can know our God and Savior. This class covers the Latter Prophets and the Writings. We pick up with the prophets who decried Israel’s uniform history of abandoning the LORD and His Torah. Josiah Liedkie will teach this class on Tuesdays, Oct. 17–Dec. 5 from 7–9 p.m. The cost is $20. Visit gibcjupiter.org to register.

Posted: September 24, 2023

Men of Grace & Granite

Posted: September 23, 2023

This leadership training for men meets on most Tuesdays, from 6–7:30 AM in the south fellowship hall. We’re serious about being conformed to the image of Christ, and these studies compel our men to think deeply about truth, strengthen each other’s faith, build unshakable convictions, serve the church more faithfully, and love Christ with greater humility. During this time, our men are taught various areas of practical theology and the spiritual shepherding of God’s people.

Audio Visual Ministry Help

Posted: September 22, 2023

The AV ministry is in need of more people to serve in the rotations for the overflow rooms and for operating the broadcast cameras on Sunday mornings or evenings. Technical experience is helpful. If interested, please email music@gibcjupiter.org.

Scheduling On-campus Meetings & Events

Posted: September 21, 2023

In order to serve the many needs of our church body, those desiring to schedule any on-campus activity or meeting must first seek approval for usage, via the Facility Request Form found on the church website gibcjupiter.org. Under the 'Resources' tab, click 'Facilities Request' to fill out the form. Please be specific about times, the approximate number of people, rooms needed, set up, promotion, etc. You will be notified once your request has been processed. Please call the church office with any questions.

Left & Forgotten Cabinet

Posted: September 20, 2023

A “Left & Forgotten” cabinet is located next to the bookstore. Items found around the campus, including those left in the kitchen area, will be placed in the “Left & Forgotten” cabinet. The men serving at the bookstore will assist those looking for “left” items within the cabinet. After a month “forgotten” items will be removed.

Mission Encouragement Ministry

Posted: September 19, 2023

There is an opportunity to serve on a Missions Encouragement Team. This would include faithfully writing (via letter or email) an assigned GIBC missionary once a month to encourage, love, & pray for them, and help with care packages from time to time. To be a part of this team, please contact Erin Kotecki (erin3536@gmail.com).
